Day two, Happy thoughts....

Well I am fixing to close down the old lap top. Work is done for the night! I am fixing to pack up my bag and head back to the B&B for dinner and another relaxing evening in front of the fire, this time to study for my 1st Spanish test of the semester! Tay, write this down, when we are house hunting, fire place a MUST!

Spanish class is going great, I am learning! I got a 100 on my oral presentation, and the class understood me. I got an 89 on my first Quiz, I missed little things like the accents, man those add up! DO you really need to know that if you just want to learn to speak it?

Today was a rather rainy and gloomy day away from home. Adolfo made my day because he sent me a nice picture, lol....

When I saw my sweet flowers on V-Day, I was sad because they were not full bloom and I would not get to see them because they would probably die before I came home :(, so I check my email after lunch and my sweet husband sent me this, a full bloom flower, lol, I got to see it!

Well it just made me smile, thanks babe! Well that's it for the night, sweet dreams, Ces.

Out of town, Day 1 of 20

It is that time of year again, and I am back in Gonzales, enjoying the great little B&B I get to stay at. I love it! I came in from work, no more than 5 minutes from the client, I walk in and my bed was turned up for me, the fire was started and such relaxing music was set on the TV! I LOVE IT!

I am fixing to take a break from my work and grab a quick bite for dinner. YUM! Then back to work.

I am camped out on a blanket, in the middle of my work in front of a nice fire they started for me, there is no other way to work than this! The only other thing I could wish for was that Adolfo was here with me, to enjoy it.

I enjoy it when I get to stay at a B&B, I love finding cute little secluded places to escape. Good night sweet dreams, back to dinner and numbers! Ces.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's weekend, and surrounded yourself with the many people you love. Our weekend is definitely moving too fast! Friday night, Adolfo and I just hung around the house getting out "To-do" lists done. Since I will be traveling with work for the next month we needed to make sure our life and home were in order, lol.

Saturday morning we celebrated my father in law's birthday at the ranch. It was great to get away and spend some time with the family for a little bit. Alex had a great birthday, with plenty of love and great food!

Adolfo was in charge of the cake, yum!

Birthday wishes....My forever Valentine, lol :).....

This is our 6th Valentine to celebrate with one another, and our 1st as husband and wife. Adolfo and I have never been about the "fancy" Valentine's, no dressing up, no expensive meals, we just try and make it about us. Our first Valentine's together was celebrated in Abilene, TX while I was at ACU. I remember being so excited because Adolfo was coming up to visit for the weekend and be my Valentine. I remember I had a HUGE Accounting test, who does that?, and he was also coming to help me prep. I loved studying with him, I would read out loud to him and explain accounting terms and concepts, because that is how I learned, lol....oh the things he did for me, love you babe. Anyways, since we were short on time and short on cash we just wanted to do something simple and sweet. Adolfo's favorite food is Pizza, so I had an idea....."earlier that week I sent him an invite in the mail to a special "I love you because Dinner...", so I made him go to the park and play basketball while I "studied". While he was gone, I decorated my room with 100 " I love you because notes" and put them all over the room. They were so cute, they were half an index card and a little red bow, we still have them to this day :).

Again off track, ok, On the floor I made a pizza pic nic, it was all romantic with Candles, wine glasses(sparkling grape juice, since he didn't drink, lol) and papa johns pizza, and a movie. It couldn't have worked out any better, when he came back the door was shut with a big red bow on it, and he went and showered and I told him he had a surprise. As he entered he had to find every note because they were all over the room, and the last note was in the middle of our pic nic. It was so sweet and so simple, and we promised that every valentines to come would be simple, sweet and must include pizza, lol....So, everyone has.....

This morning, I woke up to beautiful flowers on the table, and a sweet card....I get wife cards now! Also, thanks Mom and Curt for our sweet Valentine's, you spoil us, we love yall.

Getting ready for our Valentine's night and....yes, now Papa Johns has a heart shaped pizzas. We learned that last year, and made sure we could get it again this year. After reading one of my friends blog from ACU, she said her and her husband enjoyed the movie Fireproof, so we thought it would be appropriate for V-day, we loved it!


To end the night, we put on a nice pot of coffee and enjoyed our gift, my Valentine's mug and our sugar cookies, lol, coffee mate, so appropriate, don't you think?

Well, I enjoyed my Valentine and my Saturday! Sunday is full. I have to put some time in at the office, finish packing for my job out of town, and I have Spanish class in the afternoon. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and our sweet do-nothing evenings together. It's my most favorite thing to do. I hope everyone had a great weekend, enjoy what is left of it! Ces.

Things that make us smile these days....

Spending time with the ones we love. That is all it takes. This past weekend we went home to JC for PJ's brunch on Sunday. All we really wanted to do was relax. Adolfo got some great fishing in on the Pedernales on Saturday. My mom, Tay and I went shopping at my favorite home town treasures, had lunch at my Grandma's resturant and visted, and went into Fredericksburg for Dinner. The rest of the time we all just got cozy and kicked back to relax.

Saturday after we got in from Fredericksburg, we popped in a movie and that is how we ended the night. I was so nice just being with the family....

Sunday morning we got up early for our brunch celebration. It was so much fun being with the girls and celebrating PJ and Kris. The wedding is almost here but it was nice to eat a fabulous breakfast, enjoy the mimosas, and just be in great company and conversation....Nice to Finally see you again HEATHER, lol...

It is finally the weekend!

Well another work week is over, and well, I am not going to class tonight because I need a break from it all, and I will catch up on Sunday's class. I am almost ready to sign off the computer for the whole weekend!

Adolfo, Tay and I are headed back to the Hill Country for a couple of Days to take a break. Adolfo will be Fishing, I can finally spend some time with my Mom because it has been FOREVER and swing by Suzy Q's, yeah! And of course who could forget the great bonding time Tay and I get to spend together, lol...

I am going home for our Barrientes Breakfast for my cousin's fiance, PJ. Their wedding will be here before we know it and we all just wanted to spend some time together before things get even crazier. This is a sweet tradition my cousins, The Twins, did for me and I LOVED it! So now it is a must going forward.

This weekend got me thinking....

This past weekend was pretty fun and relaxing, although my Friday and Sunday were full of Spanish, and Adolfo is preparing for his first Economics test of the semester. Friday we were able to just relax and do nothing, that is right, nothing!

Saturday, I got up early and made us brunch, YUM! I finally cleaned out our pots and pan cabinet and replaced all our old ones with our new ones, and I LOVE THEM, it might even make me want to cook more. You don't realize how bad your pots and pans are until you get nice ones, so I am excited to use everyone of them. I'll let you know how my masterpieces turn out.

While Adolfo was studying, and I finished the laundry, I surfed the TV, and I came across an organization reality show, the host was a Professional Organizer, can we say cool! How do you get that job, and why wasn't that a degree choice when I was in school?

We were supposed to go to a pre-super bowl party, but we never made it there. Studying ran over and well, we just decided to stay in town. Next time, we promise! Late, late that evening when we decided to catch the last showing of Taken at the Alamo Draft House, it's a pretty good movie, and we love our movies. I think in the month of February there will be a total of 3 movies I want to see. See I make Adolfo's date night options so easy :)!

Sunday we stayed in, and I went to class. We pretty much did nothing but spanish and super bowl. We enjoyed the game, and Tay joined us for the 2nd half. Thanks Mom for all the treats, lol. I have really enjoyed just staying home, I know we will have to rejoin the world eventually but it is nice at the moment.

I loved seeing all the commotion at HEB on my way home. Every one's basket looked the same, and you knew exactly what they were preparing for. There was a shortage of chips, dips, cheese and beer, I even had to get generic rotel, it worked. I loved just watching everyone prepare. You had the men who you could tell were buying their wive's lists, and they were confused. You also had the guys who forgot what the girlfriend's told them to pick up but they were sure beer and chips would cover majority of it. Good times, I am sure I just looked lost staring at everyone, it made me smile though. I love the super bowl, an American tradition, Family and friends coming together, funny commercials and just a great game. Can't wait till next year.

Well, I have also been trying to finish this book I have been reading FOREVER. It is How Strong Women Pray, I love it, it is so inspiring, but it is long. So last night I would not go to bed until I reached 200 pages, and I did only 80 more!

It is a collection of interviews from great women; it talks about the role faith and prayer have played in their lives and how it has helped shape them into who they are today. It is so refreshing to be able to relate with their stories, and know I am not the only person who struggles with everyday things. It helps me refocus and remember life is tough sometimes, but with constant communication and trust in God, there is nothing I can't handle. I woke up this morning with a smile and a grateful heart.
