Taking a trip....

So Today Adolfo and I are picking up our Marriage License. It entertains me how all the offices only are open from Mon-Fri 8 - 5. When are people really suposed to get things done? So instead let us please take off an afternoon just to wait in line and hope we get service before it is time to close. I don't get it, if you are a service organization then you need to adjust hours sometimes realistically to the people you are servicing, like adding weekend hours, or opening later in the evenings. Anyways, done with that.

Also as a friend and I were walking back from lunch today, I had a thought. So you know how everyone says its a fashion mess-up if you mix black and brown. Then, why is it ok to dress up in black and look all trendy for work and accessorise with a LV handbag? It breaks the rule, I don't get it?

So I woke up this morning not feeling so great, I have an itchy throught, a runny nose and its making pressure on my ear. I will not get sick during this time, it can't happen. So I am taking medicane, drinking OJ and trying to wrap up some things in the office. If I start feeling bad, I am going home and I am almost there.

Well after this week I will be preparing and trying to relax. We have waited so long for these next coming days and I am so excited this moment is almost here. Our lives will never be the same, will will never do anything for the sake of ourselves there is no longer I, just we. Yeah!

I love when I find a great book!

So this weekend, we had time to stop by Barnes and Noble, because Curt wanted to look around and we had some time to kill. I had been wanting to read 'The Last Lecture' since I followed the story of Randy Pausch on TV, I just had not been to the book store, until this weekend so I bought it, AMAZING!

Last night before I finally went to sleep I decided to read a little bit, well a little bit turned into and 1 1/2 and I had to make myself put it down and get some sleep. It is both inspiring, motivating and an easy read. Today I was so excited to read my lunchtime consisted of a smoothie and a soft care because I wanted to read a little more.

I have read the first 14 chapters and I must say I am underlining, laughing, crying and enjoying it! It definitely puts life into perspective, and with all that is going on in mine and the stress I feel everyday, it really makes you take a break and realize, calm down its not that bad! I came back to the office smiling, I couldn't wipe it off my face. What a day!

Its that time again, tonight Adolfo, Tay and I will be in front of the TV to watch the Democratic Convention and dinner at the Olive Garden, I love it! There will be no cooking for me until after the wedding, lol. What will be my excuse then.

This morning I had a great work out, I really had to pull myself out of bed, but once I got there it went well. I was in a rush to get ready and on the road in anticipation of all the back to school traffic, but it was non-existent, I got to work in 25 minutes and I was prepping for a good hour or hour twenty minute drive.

Wow, Austin on a weekend, its been awhile!

Well, the weekend in finally over and it is time for bed because I must be up bright and early for my first real week of workouts!

Taylor is all nice and moved into her dorm and just ready to spend a few days enjoying the campus, lighting the tower and then off to her first day of classes! I must say that I was definitely spoiled at ACU with dorm life, but we have made the small space her home and nice and cozy! Pictures will have to come later because with all the activity I forgot to charge my camera.

This weekend was busy moving Tay in, and her and my parents spent the weekend with us. I love it when they come and visit. My mother and I got to go over last minute wedding details, and I stamped and mailed my first round to Thank you notes, so fun! But the thing I loved the most was waking up on Sunday morning to the smell of a nice home cooked breakfast! Thanks mom!

Adolfo spent the day with is Dad fishing on the Pedernales, so needless to say, he fell asleep hours ago. This is my last full week of work until after the wedding, and I am ready for some time off. It was really nice just being home in Austin, in my bed and enjoying my home. Its really been hard having to go home to JC each weekend to tie up loose ends.

So, as I sit here in my living room, it is so peaceful and quiet, the dishes are done, the house is clean, my clothes are ironed, lol, and I am ready to say goodnight and I hope everyone has a beautiful work week. "Night, Ces.

So its been a week filled with nothing less than constant excitement.

I have had a pretty great day, that I can only hope flows into the weekend. I guess I forgot to post this the last time, but I joined Curves this week and I really enjoy it.

Along with my promotion to Senior Accountant, we receive a Personal Development Bonus, that can be used for anything non-work related. I used mine for Curves.

I went on Tuesday and met with the sweet ladies, it was just what I need these days. I have really been letting my days run me rather than me run my days, and I needed some motivation and structure.

I decided step one was to get out of bed earlier. I now get to work out at 6am right down the road from my house, the whole workout with stretches only takes me 45min, so I am home and showered and off to work in no time at all! I have been sleeping better and getting up earlier. I have had two workouts and next week will be my full week. I am really enjoying this new time in the morning to just relax and reflect. Thank you PSCO.

Last night, I got my new phone, I am really glad I am done with that, I just really am not a phone person. Adolfo and I then chilled at home and watched the Olympics, I also completed three out of 5 sheets of Thank you Cards and I am tackling the rest of them tonight. This really is an achievement, and I have gotten so excited about dropping all my mail outs in the mail, because then I get to check things off the to-do list, what a feeling!

Well, I am wrapping up work loose ends and creating my next week to-do lists, since that will be my last week of work until after the Honeymoon! I can't wait! I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend, and I will see you soon with updates and pictures about Tay's transition to life as a UT college student! lol, I can only imagine how embarassed she is going to be when all the one's that love her are helping and sporting the UT shirt's she bought us when she got in, We do it cause we love you Tay!

I need a day at the spa, want to join me?

Hi all,

As the wedding is approaching I now understand the stresses that come along with this special day. I am short with my tone and attitude at some moments, this is the biggest event I have ever planned and it is going to be something Adolfo and I remember forever, so along with all this, of course there will be times of overwhelmed feeling and frustration.

Everyone, I love you, and I promise this time will pass!

If you have tried to call, I am experiencing difficulties with my phone, but this should be cleared up by this evening. Can I just ask, is anyone ever truly satisfied with Sprint? We were at the store last night, and every single person that was in there was un-pleased and left unhappy. Where has great customer service gone these days, I think if any business can tackle this obstacle, they would be a gold mine. I probably will continue my contract with them for the sake of convenience, but not for long once I have the time to research my options.

This weekend my little sister moves into her UT dorm, and her college life begins, I am so excited for the to be here in Austin!

Since my minnie drama queen break down, Adolfo is just trying to make my life more simple, lol. He is so sweet, he text me and asked what he could do to take the stress away so tonight we are going to get a new phone, relax at home and complete the thank you cards list.

Everyday, no matter how my attitude has been for the day, I am so thankful for all the blessings and great people I have in my life. I owe everyone BIG! I can't wait until we can all be together and just laugh about all these dramatic issues, lol. So driven by the lack of sleep, crappy diet and endless to do lists, I am just going to push and get it all done so that the week before my wedding it will be SPA DAY here I come!

GRUMPY...

So I am living up to my little kid nickname these days, lol. With the wedding quickly approaching I fear my Bridezilla moments are still yet to come!

Last night there were so many things I wanted to get done, it just is working out that way, and when I can't catch up there are always more "little things" that begin to add up.

I love that I had a year engagement to plan and pull all my ideas together, but I am ready already!

Being away from him right now, 4 days today, makes me really miss him! I hear his voice and reminds me of our old Abilene days. The Friday nights I spent with JJ shopping at Target, Dinner or watching a movie and then ending our night with Starbucks and long conversations and we can't forget our phone dates at the end of the night to talk to the one's we love before leaving Starbucks, lol , Yeah for surviving our long distance college relationships! God really blessed me with my Sweet JJ, I can't wait to see you friend!


It's like we are young and in love all over again. So as I take a break for lunch right now, let me share with you why I am marrying the most amazing man in the world!

1. I have met the man I will spend the rest of my life with. Adolfo is my source of strength and confidence he motivates and challenges me to do my best, even when I think I have nothing else to give he finds it in me, and I am a better person. He is my best friend, we have been together for 5 years, and no one knows me better than him!

2. I am such a planner and organizer and always on the go, but he balances me with his calm and patient personality. He continuously makes me just stop and enjoy all our hard work and reminds me to be calm, patient and not stress because "it will work out!" and when I am wrapped up and overwhelmed, he just hugs me!

3. He is so motivated about life, our family and our future. He works so hard academically and at his job so that we are able to have security and be able to provide for our family. He truly is the man that can help me be the best wife and mother God wants me to be, one day ;). His values are my values and our home and family will be stronger because of him and his leadership!

4. He has such a strong faith and trust in God's promise and direction for our future together and he establishes piece in my heart! He is so loving, genuine and gentle.

5. No matter how grumpy I may be when I get home, he makes me laugh and smile!

Adolfo, I miss you and can't wait to come home....

I am blessed to have Adolfo in my life. He loves me unconditionally, imperfections, grumpy fits and all. When he is next to me there is nothing I can't do.

It's just busy these days....

Well, I am taking a break and I just have to get things out of my head! So I just opened my calendar and yes there is only 4 weeks till the big day.

I feel as though, my mind and body has just shut down and lost the energy to continue, I just need sleep! It is so exciting that all the people I love and care about are going to be in one place as Adolfo and I give ourselves to one another in front of Christ, I get chills!

This week I am working out of town in Kerrville, it is such a neat little place. Very peaceful and relaxing. I am on the job alone, so I will fill my hours here with work, sleep and some Thank you notes. I miss Adolfo since I was not home this weekend, its been 3 days and then this whole week and next weekend!

So this weekend was eventful! Saturday morning we met at my Aunt Lydia's to visit and make wedding favors, once again alot of work, but it really makes me appreciate all aspects of our wedding and what can I say I enjoy this stuff.

My little cousin Kelsey turned 13 and had a sleep over and we all went for cake and presents. Man those were the days! Why do we ever stop having those? My cousin Heather did an awesome job hosting everyone, it was pink and girly.

Sunday after Church and the family breakfast with Charlie at El Charo's my Mother and I took Tay to shop for her dorm and supplies and stuff. It amazes me sometimes how he and I are so different. I here dorm decor and I think fun colors, nice rugs, accent pillows, soft fluffy blankets, fun desk organizers, closet organizers, art....

lol, Tay hears, Twin sheets, blankets and 2 pillows. I already have a laptop. Why do I have to think about colors? Nothing needs to go on the walls. I already have things on my desk at home I can take! Can we go yet?

It was fun though and her dorm is going to be fun and totally her personality. Sunday I was so tired, after we came home we relaxed I visited with family and the work week is here again.

Welcome Baby Elsa....

This morning, before work Adolfo and I received a call that my cousin Christina was in labor and on her way to the hospital. All day I was so excited because I new by the end of the night baby Elsa would be with us! The whole weekend we were prepared if she would have come early!

This afternoon Adolfo and I loaded up and headed to Llano to wait until she decided to join her big new family! Poor Christina had been there all day, but finally around 7:30pm she was here. I think it was that time because we kept watching the Doctor, the nurses and finally a lady came out and said she saw a baby and we knew she was here. My aunt was running in and out of the delivery room grabbing our cameras to get action pictures and then she would run them out to us so we could see her! I love my family, we always find the ways to be together and involved!

And then here she is Elsa Elizondo! She was 19.25 inches long and weighed a little over 7 lbs. She has dark black hair, hazel color eyes, long eye lashes and a slight sign of dimples...you just wanted to squeeze her!

First we introduced her to her cousin Caden. It is so exciting to think about how they will grow up so close to one another like me and all my other cousins got to do! They are going to be cousins and great friends, what else could you ask for...my beautiful new precious cousins!Aunt Selena and Baby Elsa during her first few minutes into the world....

Wedding Weekend Extravaganza...

This weekend was my Bachelorette Party in Fredericksburg, and I must say my girls know how to through a great time! We met that afternoon and started it all off with a wine tour at Becker's Vineyard, checked into the Hampton Inn, had dinner at my new favorite little hang out Hondo's and then ended it with a lingere shower. I had a great time being together with all you girls, there are alot of photos so lets just jump in!

I'm in recovery mode...

What a weekend, I have tons of photos and stories to share from the Wedding Extravaganza Weekend full of fun and very little sleep! As soon as I can post some of my favorite pics I will. I am currently in Web training, and received a phonecall this morning that by the end of this evening I will have a new baby cousin, Little Elsa!

So after this conference call and new client meeting, after I get off, Adolfo and I will head out to meet our new cousin Baby Elsa and visit the new Mommy and Daddy!
