Happy Hump Day....

Hi guys! I have been in Houston for two days now with work on a pretty simple job. I am so excited cause I get to head back home tomorrow and then I am off on Friday. So tomorrow is my Friday. I am really close to Target, so rather than sit here at the hotel all night, I am going to check out the Target next door, and we all know nothing good can possibly come of that one. I think I'll pick up some presents for some special someones..... Friday I will be spending my day helping my mom prep for Tay's party and then off to Graduation in the evening, and time with with the family and decorating for Tay's party.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day! More to come. Love Ces.

My Little Sister, Taylor....

In honor of Tay's Graduation this week, I thought I would share the top five reason's why I have the most amazing little sister and if you met her you agree.

1. Taylor is driven to do great things. She has an ability to focus and achieve the goals she sets for herself. Since I can remember Tay has always said she was going to the University of Texas. Well, now the day is here and she is part of the University of Texas Freshman Class of 2008.
2. Tay has a special personality that can take away any bad day. She makes me laugh constantly, I don't know where she gets it, but I love her sense of humor. She is smart and funny.

3. Tay has one of the most beautiful heart. She is a giver to both her family and her community, not because she has to, but because she wants to and enjoys doing it. She truly shows here faith everyday through her actions and in her relationships.

4. Tay has the ability to pick out the most comfortable basketball shorts and sweaters, lol. I love that because after awhile the arms begin to shrink up, and I am the recipient of her sweater hand me down's, lol. Keep it up Tay!

5. Finally, the last thing I love about my little sister is that she is so confident in her abilities and who she is as an individual. She will not hesitate to stand up for what is right, even if it is not the overall consensus. She is a strong young women, but not afraid to ask for help.

So little sister, This is the last week, an old journey ending and a new one beginning. Enjoy every second of it. Always know how very proud we are of you and never forget that all you can do is your best, and have faith that God will help you the rest of the way. I am so excited about your future and to have you here in Austin with us. Enjoy finals, enjoy being home, enjoy not having to start your job yet, and I will see you Friday. Love you!

Happy Memorial Day...

I hope everyone had a great time enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. I spent Saturday with my mom and Tay shopping in Austin and preparing for all this next week and weekend festivities. Adolfo and I wanted to swim on Saturday, and I know we have a pool, but we felt like going back to the country so we went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house to swim. My cousin is visiting with her two little girls, and as fun as it is to play with them, WOW what work. It is only these times when I see that yes, one day Adolfo and I are going to love having kids, just not right now, lol. Sunday we all got together and laid out by the pool, played water volleyball and just hung out. It was such a good time just being with all my family and cousins and catching up. Adolfo BBQ'd hamburgers and hot dogs, he is really enjoying the grill. So we had to come back to Austin because Adolfo had to work today, so fun! So I spent the day with myself. I slept in late, ran some errands and then it was to the mall. I did a little shopping, bought some cute things, but the highlight of my day was.......

You guessed it! I went and relaxed and treated myself to a Manicure and Pedicure, its been too long! My toes are red-orange the closest I could get to burnt orange, that would match my clothes, in celebration of this week!

I will be heading out to Houston in the Morning for work, but am off on Friday to begin helping my Mom get the party ready. Tay, you don't even know how excited I am for Friday to be here. I will be posting tons of pics in the next couple of days so stay tuned.

One of the best things I love about the city is getting in my pajamas and going to see the last showing of a movie I have been wanting to see. Adolfo and I are going to watch What Happens in Vegas, I know it is late, and I might be tired in the morning....no I won't! Its so much fun. I'll let yall know if it is good. Love Ces.

Livin' the Vida Loca.....

Yes its been awhile I know, but here it is. These last couple of weeks just went by too fast and know this week is almost over, what do I do with my time? Well this past weekend I got to spend some amazing time with my old High School friends celebrating Amanda's big day. Since I have a million pictures I just jump right in.....The first two pictures are pictures I promised in my last blog.

Amanda's weekend started of with a 10am shower, with great desserts.......Brooke was in charge of the list and Lisa and I in charge of the camera's. I thought I would share this one as it captures them perfectly...You can only imagine what Amanda is saying....
Us decorating for Amanda, we blew up so many creative balloons....My friends are teachers so we will keep them clean, I guess you just had to be there....

Brooke and the throne.....
The 1st look....well of course we missed the first one, but Amanda is great at reenactments....
Letting the party begin and giving the Princess her crown....

Lisa, Brooke, Amanda and me....High school Friends....Just getting into SA

Ready to head out to Dinner at Hard Rock...

The Bachelorette....

She got a special dessert, and they told her don't do it....

After a great meal, a great lingerie shower, topping off our drinks we went back out. Mission Accomplished.....

Brooke and I 2am...trying to find water and a DP, we got that and a great ghost story, cause it looked like we were really interested, lol.....

Well I had a really great weekend catching up with the girls and meeting all of Amanda's new friends she has met since we have been apart. Fun girls... But after that was over I we got back to JC and it was #100 of Tay's 1 million graduation events, and because she is my baby sister and I am so proud of her I had to be there.

Here we are documenting that she truly is a whole head taller than me, lol, well a little taller...This is right before we went to Senior Sunday Service....

This was after it was over.....

Well other than that I have really just been playing catch up and it is already Thursday! I've had to put in a little over time, but not too bad so it has taken me awhile. I have an amazing fiance' who has pretty much taken over the household duties. Monday I worked OT and I came home to a steak dinner and a clean home....yesterday I worked late again, but after I got home we finally got to go grocery shopping together! For those of you who have 50 million things going on and they really aren't the same 50 million for each person in the relationship, you appreciate all the time you get to spend together, even if it is buying groceries.

We have been working out, and he is really pushing me. Tonight I did 2 miles running and 2.4 on the bike while we watched the 2nd half of the Spurs :(! And I have to get up at 5am for more, he is like my own little trainer, the wedding will be here before you know it and I really have slacked off, I was supposed to be a size 2 by now, lol! Never going to happen....

So tonight, since the chores were done, we cooked soft tacos with each other, well Adolfo made them and the tortillas, I set the table and cut the tomatoes and avocados oh and I made the tea also....I will get better I promise....I also hold the conversation, lol.....

Well friends, I hope I caught everyone up. I look forward to a nice weekend ahead filled with Austin time, Adolfo's nephews birthday and what ever my little heart desires, some shopping, nails, laundry :(, wedding, and a Monday off and then it is off to Houston!

Congrats Tay on the Last week of School, I'll just post it here instead of sending you flowers or something embarrassing at school, lol, love you little sister, looking forward to the celebrations (and work) ahead, pics soon.

Goodnight all, until the next one. Ces~

Is it the weekend already?

This question seems to be the theme of my life these days. We get two days off, yet it never feels that way. Well this past weekend was Mother's Day and my sisters and I got to spend a beautiful weekend spoiling my mother. She deserves every second of it! Friday night I went to Marble Falls and spent the night with my Grandma, she is so entertaining, you know what I mean if you have met her, and we hung out at the restaurant and watched movies all night, she can hang. Saturday we just ran errands and spent time with one another. It was time well needed, just celebrating her and mothers day. We also made 100 mothers day coursages to give to mothers that ate at the restaurant, lots of work, but good times.

On Mother's Day we all got up and went to church with our mom and then we went to our Grandma Marie's house for a fish fry to celebrate both Mother's Day and my Grandma's birthday.

Last night, having tons of things to get done, I wasn't feeling the best, my head hurt and I had alot to do. Adolfo's solution, I need to lay down and rest since I have really been on overload these past couple of weeks. So I did, and I fell asleep at 8:00 and did not wake up until this morning! To him I needed it, to me I am just more behind. Now it is lunch, and I am all caught up, so thanks babe for taking care of me and all my crazy stressed out moments.

I walked down the ways to Sandy's, if you are ever in Austin in the area, call me because you must have a burger and ice cream from this place, my treat! It is a yucky day, but a productive one. I will post pictures next post, since I don't have my camera with me. Hope everyone is having a great day! love Ces.

Happy Cinco de Mayo....

I haven't figured out how it determines the time it posts on the block so it is Monday morning right now so my title totally makes since. Have a margarita today and think of me! This weekend we went to my parents, again. It is becoming routine because from here till Christmas there is going to be some major event we have to go home for, but thats ok. This past weekend Kelsey made her first communion. Adolfo and my Dad spend all Saturday and Sunday morning fishing and my mom, Taylor and I shopped for all of Tay's festivities coming up, if you want to see her in a dress you must attend the events, so pretty! Other than that my time was full of naps, spending time with the family and antiquing all my lanterns for the wedding. We experimented with lighting one today and it turned out great, nothing blew up!
So here are some photos of the weekend, hope you enjoy!
Kelsey and I at practice on Saturday and ready to shop! She is already taller than me and she is only 12!

The best things happen when your least expecting them....

Happy Thursday, the weekend is here! So since I got engaged I knew in addition to the beer we also needed a little something extra for my sweet fiance, since he doesn't drink, we all know that. So I thought it would be so colorful to have a glass barrel full of lemonade and fresh lemons and lime slices (He loves lemonade)! If you know me, you know when I get an idea I just have to make it happen and run with it. So since June when we got engaged I have been looking for the perfect serving barrel. I was just ready to settle and order one from a resturant supply store, and it was nice, but it didn't steal my heart, you know the feeling, like when you try on the most perfect shoes or find the cuttest stationary that you just have to run home and write a letter.

Well today, when I was searching Dillard's at lunch this is what I found, so random. It is perfect, they even have my idea! All my hard work for Adolfo finally paid off! I wasn't even looking, I was trying to pick out plate patterns, and their it was.

Don't you love it!

So I was so excited, I called my mom and Tay, I felt it in their voice they were just as excited as me, right guys? Well when I got home I told Adolfo about the great news and he said we could go to Dillard's and see if it was there. That is why I love him.

Now, we are in Dillards and I don't go to Lakeline Dillards, I am a Barton Creek Mall kinda girl. As soon as we walk in it is like a party, with a DJ, appitizers and virgin margaritas. When we get to the escalator, I see it. On the table filled with punch or something, and I said look babe that is it they are using it, imagine my excitement because I knew it was in the store. So we go to houseware and we see all types of containers, but not that one. All of a sudden we found it hidden under the table, only 2 left and one box was open. The other one perfect, it was waiting for me! Then I found this, perfect to a wedding decoration and in our new home together! Lets play a game, find this at my wedding....

Lesson of the day:

Keep a good attitude, be patient and calm, because great things will happen in your life when you least expect them and just sit back and enjoy the simplitiy in the excitement.

Until next time~Ces.
