So, for awhile now I have been watching these shoes, I had tried them on and loved them, but then I decided to sleep on it, to see if I really wanted them. Well, I did so I got them! By the time I decided all the stores close to me were out of stock, so I went on line and got them. They told me it would take 9 days and they got here in 3! Super excited, Thank you GAP for making my day. I can't wait to were them on Halloween, Friday night....
So, I have been feeling kind of crummy lately, getting up too early and going to bed to late. Stressing out about things to get done at home and work. So last night my sweat husband took my stress away. When I got home, he was preparing dinner and told me he rented a movie for us and then together we cleaned up the house, it goes so fast when we do it together! So by 8pm the house was clean, we were fed and we had watched the movie. He rented some action movies that I really am not a fan of, so I told him to enjoy them, thank you for the relaxing evening but I am going to bed. That's right, I went to sleep at 8 and today I am better for it! I felt so refreshed this morning, slept in a little later. Its going to be a great day!
I haven't been working out consistently like I need to in the mornings, Curves is great, but it has been really cold outside and I have not been getting the greatest sleep and having to be at work early, so 5:30 am doesn't sound attractive to me.
It is unacceptable I know, so I am putting it out there, hold me accountable! By for now, hope you're having a great Wednesday!

Happy Birthday, Mom! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We are ready to celebrate...
What can I say, I truly believe without a doubt in my heart, I have the best Mom in the whole world! She is the heart of our family, and my best friend. My Mom has taught me so many lessons in my lifetime, and I respect her more than she could ever know. She has taught me how to be a strong and independent women, and she motivates me to levels I sometimes doubted I could reach. I am who I am because of her faith in me. She is amazing in everything and commits whole heartly to everything in life. Everyday, I look up to her and pray, one day, I am half the Mom she is to me. We are lucky people to have her in our lives, She is our blessing. Happy Birthday Mom, We love you!
Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!
This Friday my parents are celebrating their 21st Wedding Anniversary! We are lucky girls, we have two great parents who show us everyday what it means to be committed to each other and our family. We are not perfect, but we grow together. Life challenges us, but we are a stronger family because of it. You have made our home a place we love to be, and miss when we are away. Thank you for just being there for us, as parents and as friends. You both have the most compassionate hearts, Thank you for working so hard to give us the chance to chase our dreams. We love you.
The greatest lessons, from our parents:
1. Be Committed in all you do. Whether it be for your family, community, or friends, whatever you do, do it with a full committed heart.
2. Appreciate life and be grateful for all it brings you. Say thank you for the good times, and be more thankful for the challenging times, because it is in those times we grow and remember why we have each other.
3. No matter what, you always have your family.
4. Always remember who you are and what you stand for, and don't compromise it.
6. Challenge yourself everyday to be the best person you can be.

I got a great parking spot again! YES!
So work is the same, another Monday morning! It is beautiful outside and the Capital looks great as ever from my window.
I was lucky enough to find a wonderful parking spot right outside the client's office! That never happens. Tay had enough change for me to park today and tomorrow, since I never have cash it is sometimes a challenge getting change for the meter, but no Today!
So this weekend was eventful! Adolfo and I decided not to go to the Quince this weekend, and instead we just stayed with Claudia and Jaime and watched some football. Saturday, Adolfo and I went to the Bass Pro Shop, we can spend hours in that place and we did, Adolfo got a great winter hat and a catchy new fishing shirt, and then he created his Christmas Wish List, I love it, a one stop shop.
It was my turn next, so we went and hit up some of the stores at The RIM and I found some great deals, it was nice to shop being that it has been awhile. Then we went the Claudia's for the game, awesome game! GO HORNS!!! We had to leave Tay studying at our house all weekend, so next time she can join us. We made appetizers and Claudia and I enjoyed our favorite wine and we just relaxed.
Sunday, we woke up and Adolfo wanted to watch the Cowboys, so we all went and ate breakfast and then he watched the game and Claudia and I did more shopping! I love the malls in SA. We found tons of things we love...
Once we got home we were beat! I got home, saw Tay was still alive and over studied, made some Blue Berry muffins and then Adolfo and I were out! I really think we need 3 day weekends!
Well that's all she wrote and I hope everyone had a great one, Ces.

It's going to be a very peaceful day....
Last night I enjoyed watching the final Presidential debate, I am ready to vote and I am at peace with my decision. I can't wait until Nov 4th already!
I made supper for the 3rd night in a row, and I am really enjoying it! Simple things, but I am getting there. It is such a challenge for me because I am such a non-healthy and picky eater, It is a job in progress.
Our Menu has included:
1. Baked Chicken, baby red potatoes in butter and herbs and a Salad
2. Hamburger Helper, lol, with Hawaiian Rolls
3. Toasted Tuna Sandwiches with Potato Chips
As I watched the debate, Adolfo slept and Tay was in the other room studying for her big test week, I ironed all my clothes for the rest of this week. If you know me, you know ironing is one of our favorite things to do, lol. We love to iron and we love great starch!
So this morning went so smooth, I woke up early, jumped into my clothes, ate some cinnamon toast and got on the road! I arrived early to work, it was cool and beautiful outside and I found a parking spot close to the clients, no walking for me today. TODAY IS A GREAT DAY!
Everyone say a little prayer for Tay tonight, she has her 2nd test today, and she has putted a great deal of time in preparing! Good Luck Tay, all you can do is your best!
I am now ready to work, go to my meeting and get things done and in order for a beautiful Friday! Adolfo and I are going out of town this weekend, and staying the night with Claudia and Jaime! I love getting to spend time with them, wish we could do it more often, but the time is soon coming! Patience right?
Cheers, Ces.

I learned something new about myself today, lol....
I just wanted to get my thought out on the subject before I lost it! Since I have been walking from the office to my client's this past couple of weeks I have noted something that I just have to laugh at myself about.
If you know me I am such a stickler about following traffic rules and safety, lol. Everyone must wear their seatbelts, THANKS MOM, try to drive the speed limit, and let's not forget parking and towing rules.
Adolfo gets so annoyed with me sometimes because if we are down town and he finds a great spot, I am the first to look around and make sure no one can tow us, and then I suggest that maybe we should find another spot that we are sure we can park at, I am only like this because on one of our dates we almost got towed. The guy was right there fixing to load up my car, but thank God we were walking the wrong direction and we saw what was happening and talked him into not taking it!
So, that situation has contributed to who I am today.
So as I was walking back from book club lunch today, I noticed some things that made me nervous that I just had to laugh about.
1. As we were leaving PF Changs we crossed the road, not a cross-walk but in the middle of the road. I laughed because all the other girls ran across to beat the cars and I hesitated, I was nervous one was going to get hit! So I had to wait, slowly crossed and I stopped all the traffic in the process. See what a mess I cause when I don't follow the rules?
2. I also have been noticing that I am that person at cross - walks that actually waits for the "Walk/Don't Walk" sign to change before I proceed to cross the road. Even if there is no traffic, and people pass beside me because they realize there is no traffic, I still wait for the light to change. Why do I do this?
So I thought I might share this un-important information with all of you because as I was coming back from lunch it happened to me and I smiled and laughed inside! Hope everyone is having a happy day!
Cheers, Ces.

It was a great one...
Well this past weekend was a great one! Friday night, after I got home from All-Day Training, Adolfo, Tay and I had dinner at Cheddars and then went to the Alamo Drafthouse to see The Express Movie, GREAT! Everyone should see it, it ranks up there with Rudy and Remember the Titans in my books. I laughed, I cried and it is the one time in my life I was cheering against UT, lol!
On that note, I Saturday's game was AWESOME! Adolfo and I had a party we had to be at at 1 so we only got to see the first half, but it was great, we heard the last quarter in the car, and well what a great way to start of our Saturday. We took a stroll down 6th and it was crazy. We were behind these guys that honked the whole way and waved their UT flag, people were coming out of the sport bars to cheer and wave their Hook 'em signs, it was a sea of Orange, I love Austin!
That night we hung out with Family at Anne's Party and then we headed downtown with my family to meet a few of my cousin's and their friends to celebrate Frankie's birthday, and did we ever! Hope all are feeling well, we had so much fun, but wow, haven't done that in forever!
Sunday was our relax day. We shopped for groceries, did laundry and rested. I baked a cake, and burnt the icing, well more on that later, never say it can't be done, lol. We ended with the Cowboys, that was the biggest excitement and let down all in less than 5 minutes, but that's ok, next time boys! Last night our air conditioner went out, miserable, so today hopefully when I return home we will have cable and cool air! Well it's Monday, so lets start with a Bang and end strong! Happy Study week Tay, lol!
Happy Monday, Ces.

TGIF, Tomorrow...
Today was nice, but I am so glad it is Friday tomorrow. Work was really busy today, and because this morning I was too lazy to park in our garage 4 blocks away from the client, I had to feed the parking machine every two hours, not fun. I think it would have been cheaper for me to just received a ticket.lol.
After work was over, Tay and I went and walked Town Lake, as we still know it, and well it turned into more like a hike, lol, and people watching. Nice workout Tay! We got so excited when we were half way done and we could take a water break. Here you have all the true runners stopping to stretch and here we come strolling along and just getting some water, good times.
All I could think about on the trail was food, lol, so we had dinner at Shady Groves, I love that place, it was one of the 1st places I ate at when I started getting familiar with the area, and I love it so I had to take Tay.
Now I am at home finally getting some R&R, I have to get up EARLY and drive to San Antonio for all day training, and then we finally get a weekend in Austin. We have party #2 on Saturday, and then Sunday we are just going to relax at home and get ready for the week. Cable comes on Monday! So I finally will get to watch all the commentary on CNN after the debate, I am so excited. Who ever thought that would be getting me excited, ever? But I am. What does that tell you?
Well bye for the weekend, be safe and I will be back later to show you pics of all the great weekend festivities.
Hugs, Ces.

Happy Birthday Heather!
The "Youngest" pic I have of you on my computer, lol. The night we taught mom cheers in the front yard for the Homecoming Pep-Rally, lol....
As Claudia and I started our college journeys, in Abilene and San Antonio, we never had to worry that Tay would miss out on the sister bonding experience that we had, because you were there for her when we could not be, I am so grateful to you for that. Yes, she had my Mom but sometimes you just need a sister.

So again, Happy Birthday Heather, we love you and appreciate you! Be true to you and never stop believing you can't have everything you want in life. Keep your head up, an open heart and a smile on your face, today because it is your birthday, forever because you are loved......
lol, oh yeah and run by Aunt Rita's house and get your present from Adolfo, me, Jaime, Claudia and Tay! We love you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Love, Ces.

Date night....
So, Adolfo and I celebrated by competing our 1st round of wedding gift returns, we loved everything we received (it was just the duplicate items we are having to take back).

So, today and tonight, it is work time. I need to spend a little time at home getting some things off my list, from book club, cleaning house, the debate and whatever else I can squeeze in before bed time, lol!
Can I also just say that I love how it seems to be getting darker earlier, its almost time for the time change! Yeah...
So have a great morning, be with the ones you love and until next time. Ces.
Countdown: 6 days until cable, lol....

The weekend is over, so its back to work....
This weekend went by too fast! Friday night, My mother, my sister and I went into Marble Falls for a nice relaxing girls dinner and a trip to Wal-Mart. It has become a little fun habit to stroll Wal-Mart's card section and try to find the funniest one, we laugh so hard sometimes, its the simple things right?
Well, Saturday we went to my cousin's party and she looked beautiful! Since we were little, I can remember how excited Selina would get when she would talk about her Quencienera, and now the day has past, it was beautiful and I hope it was everything she wished it to be because she deserves that!
Sunday, I got to sleep in and then went to my Church's Mexican Dinner Fund raiser, they did really well, and it is always great to see everyone and everything come together. Although, I had every intention to help them, we had more than enough volunteers, so Taylor and I played with the little ones, and for entertainment we Colored. Oh how I miss just being a kid, it was so relaxing see their creativity and pure enjoyment of life, it was something I needed really bad this weekend to clear my head and my heart! Thanks Tay for participating also, I know you love it when I volunteer you to join the creative train, lol!
I got to hang out with the family, and see my sister, most of the time our lives are pretty busy and our schedules are opposite from one another, but this weekend we had time together and then a much needed 2.5 hour phone call, I love those nights, Love you Claudia and you too Tay!
Since my Mom now has time on her hands, her creative juices are flowing also! We have decided to start a new tradition on my Mom's side of the family. Each month, one Saturday, we are going to do a monthly birthday celebration, and get together, like old times, and celebrate everyone's birthday for that month. If you know my family, there are alot of us, so that means we can get together once a month, we will celebrate with food and cake and just be together for football, games and quality time. I am already excited for Dec to decorate the tree! Great idea mom, we love it! With lives so busy, it is great to know we can come together this time each month to just enjoy each other!
Well, Today is our 1st month anniversary! It has been a quick month, hard to believe it is here already, if that is a reflection of how fast time will go, wow its fast! I am a lucky girl, I have a wonderful husband who tolerates me, helps me to be a better wife and friend and keeps my heart in the right place. I love you and can't wait till next month. Coffee date here we come, I love the little milestones ;)!
Hope everyone had a great week! See you next time. Ces.

Who is ready for the weekend, I am!
The weekend sounds so good right now, it holds plenty of festivities for me and my family. After work today, Adolfo and I will pick up Tay and we are off to JC for nothing but celebrations!
Tonight we will hang out with the family, probably eat catfish, lol, as that seems to be the Friday night tradition developing at our house, lol! Curt's Idea...Saturday, I will probably check out my oh so favorite Suzy Qs, I love that place and then it is off to Selina's Quinciera. That will be fun, with her ceremony, dinner and reception. It is so much better to get to attend large festivities like these than having to plan them, now that I can speak from experience, lol!
Sunday we will just wrap up the weekend and attend our JC Church's annual Mexican dinner, YUM! If you are in the area you should check it out. Great people and great food! Well my break is over back to work and off to a meeting in a bit! Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend, enjoy your time, family and friends, we will!
Hugs, Ces.

Its (ALMOST) the most wonderful time of the year....
This past week, since I have had the pleasure of walking from my office on 6th and congress to my client at 10th and Brazos, I have gotten the opportunity to drink my coffee and just enjoy the quiet mornings. Each day, I park in our garage and make my way to pick my great addition to my life, a small gorilla mocha from the HideOut.
This is my 3rd time at this client, and I have really come to enjoy the hike to their office from mine. It really does give me the time to clear my head before and after work. So this morning I began reflecting about why I love this time of year so much?
First, the top ten reasons I love this time of year:
1. Its mine and Adolfo's B-Days, Big 26 this year!
2. Morning coffee trips
3. Jeans, T-Shirts and my yearly old navy sweater and no makeup on the weekends
4. Staying inside, wrapped up in a warm blanket and a good book or a nice movie
5. Its the season of giving :)
6. Holiday gatherings with Family - Thanksgiving, After Thanksgiving Shopping, UT vs. A&M, lights spectacular in JC, Horse Carriage Rides with Adolfo, Birthdays, Grand children's Christmas, Midnight Mass, Mornings with the Family on Christmas Day, Yeah I just love it!
7. Spice cake and cream cheese whipped icing
8. My mom's Chili, cheese and crackers....YUM!
9. Decorating
10. People Change-we are all a little more compassionate and willing to help each other. our spirits are so positive and optimistic, you see more laughing and smiling and appreciation shown to people around you, Its contagious! For a short moment, people treat others the way we all want to be treated, its more about being with the ones you love, and slowing down in life for awhile. Why can't the other 3/4 of the year be like this?
So, now you know why this truly is the most wonderful time of the year in my eyes. I am so appreciative for all the joys and struggles in my life. It makes me enjoy the little things a thousand times more. Don't ever lose sight of all the special little things, cause in the end that's all we have.
Its almost Friday, enjoy today!!! Hugs, Ces.

What a morning its been....
So, last night Adolfo and I finally watched, Forgetting Sarah Marshell, its a funny no thinking movie, if you are looking for that type of thing.
I went to bed early, had the house cleaned up and was ready to lead my discussion chapter for this morning at our Book Club. Well God had a different plan...
I woke up on time this morning, enjoyed my fabulous 45 min workout, got home rather quickly and on the road to work, this was about 7:15. I was so excited that I decided I would go ahead and catch up on some reading at my favorite coffee hang out down town, until about 8:45 and then make my way down the road to my clients, sounds so relaxing doesn't it, I might have to try again tommorrow because that is not how my morning worked out, lol.
Instead as I approached mopac, I heard a funny noise, I pulled over on the expressway, and I had a flat tire. All I could do is laugh, God had a different plan for me. I did not panic, I called my wonderful husband and he gave me our Honda road side assistance number, love them! They arranged for a service company to come and change my tire for me, no charge! So instead of being bummed, I stayed in my car until help came, and just read a book, it was such a peaceful time, in the midst of rush hour traffic to just be stopped out of the way in the comfort of my car reading. I hadn't had time for it lately, I missed it and God knew it.
So, Thank you to all the great summaritans who stopped and asked if I needed help, they were all dressed up for work but they would have done it anyway, I appreciate the kindness, I love that that type of care and respect are still alive!
So needless to say, I got help and got a new tire :), I read enjoyed a cup of coffee and am now ready to jump into my work, I'll have to work a little later this evening, but it is worth it. Instead of being stressed about the situation, I chose to enjoy the possitives, something I am working on here lately, and it helps the spirits! I hope everyone has a wonderful day, keep your head up its almost the weekend!
Hugs, Ces.
