Work Today...

So today I got to take part in a little fun thing at work. Our firm (PSCO) was selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Austin in the small business category (1-50 employees). Today was the luncheon to celebrate so me and some of my fellow employees along with some of our Partners and Managers were able to attend and be apart of this celebration.

I thought I would share out photo, this is me working...

I really enjoy my job, yes there are stressful moments, but I truly believe I work with a great team who love what they do and know what they stand for. What a great evening.....

One of the best things I have come across during my wedding planning adventure is the ability to shop online and have everything you could ever need delivered to your front door. Call me old fashion, as someone who still enjoys sending letters by snail mail and seeing a person face to face for a nice dinner or coffee, I had never ordered anything online.

It all started with the topper for my wedding cake, I went online and found the perfect thing I wanted so ordered it, after complete research that it was a legitimate sight and I would get my order. Once it work, I decided to use two sights to order all the necessities for my wedding: bridal party gifts, napkins... you know what I am talking about. So Yesterday I was in the office and at the end of the day I decided to check the status of my packages. To my surprise, they were all delivered on June 20th! Not to my house. I immediately called Adolfo and asked him if he would go to the main office and see if anything had been delivered. They had, and no one contacted us! So when I got home, I loved it! I got to go through all the things I had purchased and I loved it all. It really saved me so much time and I was really surprised by the quality.

So, after all of that Adolfo and I decided to go on a dinner and a movie date. We did our typical Soup and Salad evening at Olive Garden and then went and saw Get Smart, FUNNY! One thing I love about living in the city is that we are always able to watch the last showing of a movie, we go all comfortable and then when we get home we are ready for bed! I know my mother would say Celeste, "You should not go out in public like that!" but all I can say it doesn't matter, I was comfortable.

So my evening was pretty wonderful, I did a little work, wedding and quality time with Adolfo! I hope everyone enjoyed there time also....don't forget to take some time for yourself!

Remember When....

Alright, so last night Adolfo and I had the greatest plans in the world to get things done, well that did not happen because well, we fell asleep EARLY! Our bodies needed sleep I guess. So since I am not at my home computer and I could not tell about our retreat without photos, I thought I would take everyone back to that special day, lol, he was so nervous.

This weekend we attended our Together In God's Image marriage retreat. It was really nice to spend this quality time together, along with 30 other couples. In the three days we discussion the direction of marriage today, communication (Adolfo is the Listener I am the Talker, imagine that!) and learning what are the best approaches to handle each other, that was day one, and we played this really fun Fiance game to see how well we knew one another, we did pretty good! Day two, we continued our communication discussion, we also talked about family planning, children, and how we wanted to raise a family, we also had a lot of couple reflection time. On the second day, we ended the night with a nice couples rosary. It was still pretty early so we went on a really long walk. We found a trail and when as you walked through the trail there were random signs with sayings, by the time you completed the trail you had read Psalm 100, it was very nice one on one time. The next day was our stewardship discussion and we had to discover what our gift was. Adolfo was an encourager and creative and I was encourager and leadership. Then it was THE BUDGET, that was fun because this is where alot of couples hit heads a little, but because we are so strict with this area, we were pretty much already in line with the financial planner. We had an amazing breakfast on Sunday, and a nice couples mass and then we were home.

Over all, the weekend went well and solidified that we are taking our relationship in the right direction. Well, we already knew, now the church knows too! I highly recommend some type of marriage prep course to anyone getting married, I feel like this weekend has brought us closer on a whole other level. I truly believe I am with the man God made for me, and that is a wonderful feeling.

Today's post part one....

On June 16th, my cousin's Elizabeth, Travis and little Adisyn welcomed a new addition to their family!

Kaden Travis Langbein

I love my family because no matter how far away I was during this beautiful process, you better believe I was updated through the whole process.

12 am - received phone call from Elizabeth that they were on their way to the hospital.

12:30 am - received phone call from Ashly, Julie and Frankie that they were on the way to the hospital.

2:30 am, lol - received message from Elizabeth, I think this was everything, keep in mind I was half asleep getting this information. She told me how far she was dilated, something about the direction of Kaden, that she was hurting and that she would keep me updated, lol. Love you bebe', thanks for the update.

ALL DAY I COULD NOT WAIT, but I hated that he just hadn't come already cause I hated that it hurt my cousin.

So when I got off of work that afternoon, he was here. I called Adolfo and we loaded up the car and were off to see our new baby cousin. He is beautiful and so sweet. It was such a fun thing to get to experience with them. We learned a little about how much you needed to feed a baby, not the whole bottle they give you, just a fraction. We thought he was starving! His tummy is only less than a quarter of our pinky, lol, who knew. We learned about changing diapers, lol. It was a nice time.

So Langbein family we are so proud of you and your beautiful accomplishment. This little guy can't even grasp how much he is already so loved and how many millions of hugs and kisses are coming his way!

This weekend we get to celebrate summer baby #2, the little girl, with a couple's shower. So update on that later. Well it is back to work, but I will post a blog later on our marriage retreat experience. I will wait till I can upload a picture. Enjoy the beginning of the work week!

Its a busy, busy day...month...week....year!

Hi friends. So I am taking a break to relax my mind and get some thoughts out. Things are really busy half of 2008 is almost over, SLOW DOWN! I am planning our wedding and all I keep thinking about is in less than three months I will be Celeste Ann Castro. CRAZY! Can I just tell you how fun wedding registries are, what a cool thing to do! Except, you know me I am a planner, organizer and love to decorate, so I understand people who just go in to their favorite stores and knock it out. Oh, but not Adolfo and I, after many nights of surfing the Internet, laying out our color scheme, deciding what atmosphere we want to create in our new home and trying not to click on the same thing at more than one store, our registries are almost complete. When you do all the work on the front end, it makes it a whole lot easier in the stores, because that process can really be overwhelming if you have not clue.

This week has been a really great week. We are wrapping up our audit we are on in a timely manner that I will get a Friday in the office, if you know me it is rare, so I love when it happens! Also, my new little cousin was born Kaden Travis Langbein. He is super cute, I have pics but I will have to post those later. My sweet friend JJ called and we caught up on some ever so exciting news, her and her husband might move to Austin in May! I would love it! I can't even begin to share what an important piece of my college experience this lady was, it didn't know Starbucks until JJ or the joy in strolling a Target forever! My fingers are crossed that the start of their next journey brings them this way!

All week I have been one day ahead, Last night as Adolfo and I enjoyed our soup & salad at Olive Garden, I was talking as though it was going to be Friday. I guess I am super excited about what is going on. Adolfo and I are finally getting to attend our marriage retreat. Together in God's Image. We have no idea what to expect from it, we can only wish for amazing!

Lunch Time!

Hi all....So I have been really bad about posting. I usually do it in the evening, but here lately our nights have been filled with Wedding planning. I really is exciting if you have the time to just focus on your to do list. Now that we have updated the budget and found the dishes we wanted, I feel alot better.

Since I am so proud of us, I will share what we have accomplished since Saturday:

So here it is and still alot more to come. Adolfo and I have also started our workouts, for real this time, lol. We have started packing lunches the night before and I can really feel the difference in my energy. I got this really old fashion lunch box at Suzy Q's and I have been bringing my lunch all week. I will post a pic later when I can. JJ you will love it, it is something that I would envision for our store, you know one day when we are close ;)!

So this week I am working hard and praying the Lakers lose tonight. I am so excited because this weekend me and my bridesmaids will be getting together to go get the dresses. It really is coming together.
